Rats Costume!

Ah yes, It was the day before halloween. Almost all the Snugzis were ready, some but one. Rat.. forgot. Like she always does, as she wondered why such a thing had happened she decided to plan. She needed a plan! She can’t go out with no costume, no treats, no basket, nothing at all. She needed to plan quickly and ahead of time! As she ventured out to the local market where almost everysnug was, she saw amazing costumes. Some were ghosts, some zombies and maybe some creatures she never heard of before. She admired how wonderful everyone was, their costumes were brilliant. She couldn’t think of something like that at all. Her brain was slow and she couldn’t think of what to be, she couldn’t be too simple or too complex. She needed to be in the middle, she needed to figure out something quick! Looking at all the other Snugzis she thought to herself. 

“I need to be something weird, something not normal to me.”

She thought of many things that would not be normal, things that wouldn’t match her. She could be a dog, mouse or a tiger but those were too common. She wanted something else, she thought of ghosts,zombies and witches like the snugzis did. Again, something common. She wanted to be different, something new and out of the ordinary. She kept thinking until she couldn’t, she really couldn't figure this out. She really wanted this halloween to be different, last year she didn’t dress up as anything. She had no motivation, this year will be different. She wants this year to be different, she wants to change. But she still couldn’t think of anything. Disappointed, she decided to head back home, well.. Not until she got some treats of course. Heading to the local market she went to get some sweets, if she couldn’t find a costume some treats would be okay. She was hungry anyway, she needed some nutrition afterall of this thinking. Her brain needs a rest, getting her basket of treats she headed home. As she walked home she admired everyone once again, everyone was lovely and beautiful. Everyone was perfect in her eyes, she couldn’t top any of their ideas! She saw so many things, she loved to see them all. They were so wonderful, she felt guilty of the sight of them. She shouldn’t be seeing these wonderful designs that they have made, they are too good for her. She didn’t want to think anymore, instead she grabbed some treats out of bag and took some bites. They were delicious, such wonderful favors. Maybe some new ones too? She loved it either way, it’s been awhile since she had such treats. She doesn’t go out often but hopeful one day that’ll change. As she started to feel better, she went home. Grateful for the experience she had felt, all the costumes were great! The decorations were wonderful such bright colors, some spooky but that's what halloween is about! She felt herself getting distracted, but it was too late. With a Thud she had fallen into a bush, all of her candy had spilled on top of them. Disappointed of where she had found herself she laid there and wept, nothing was fair. Everything was unfair, the costumes, the decor, the treats.. EVERYTHING. She couldn’t have one good day, she really wanted this year's halloween to be great but she blew it. Only remembering last minute to try and make a costume only to end up in a bush. At least the bush was soft enough to lay down in, it was soft to the touch. It was comfortable, you could almost sleep in it, the texture was great. Of course the texture was great, it’s a bush from mother nature! She left the bush and turned around, the candy stuck between the bushes leaves, the bucket tangled with the branches it had landed on.

Rat thought to herself, “Hey, this could be a costume! Maybe halloween isn’t ruined..” 

Rat had just got a great idea.. She’ll be a bush for halloween! Nobody expected it, imagine going around the corner to see a bush.. You’ll think it's an ordinary bush but instead it's a living Snugzi inside it! This idea was a wonderful idea, Rat hurried to her home taking the bush with her. Taking the roots and everything! She added some of her own things to the bush, she added a flower and some buttons. She at least wanted her bush to look pretty while still looking like a normal bush from the forest! Just looking at this bush brought her great joy, she did something for once! She loved it, she hopes everyone else likes it. Rat decided to rest for the night so she could be up and ready for halloween tomorrow! She’ll be the best bush you’ll ever see! Make sure to check your bushes tonight, you might find a rat in there <3
