1. How does your character welcome back the sun after the long dark, do they have any particular rituals or superstitions they follow?

Β

He likes to clean the house together with Crowley to get it ready for the new year. That way they can focus their energy more on doing fun stuff and being outside when everything's in its proper place. While Fly Isn't much of a clean freak and tends to easily misplace stuff, this is one of the few times of the year where he makes an active effort to help keep everything clean.

He also likes to make small offerings of food to the sky/moonie, in hopes that they might decide to extend spring and summer a bit more this year. He doesnt tell people about him doing this, as he feels a bit embarrassed about it. He knows realistically it will likely not help...but who knows, maybe they see him making the effort and decide to change the seasons up a bit more! You never know.

2. What does your character like to do during the spring time; i.e. do they spend a lot of time outdoors, do they participate in spring cleaning, do they catch up with their friends, or plant a garden, etc.

Β

He tends to become a lot more active again in the spring. He spends a lot of it hanging around outside, foraging, and talking to new people. During rainy days, or days where there just isn't a lot happening, he usually cleans the house and gets it ready for the warmer seasons. So like storing away extra blankets, putting sweaters into storage, taking down winter decorations, and so on. He finally has energy again, and tries to make the most of it. While snuggling and relaxing are of course nice, overall he isn't much one for staying still.

On select days, he and Crowley go on expeditions and explore outside their community, slowly mapping the surrounding area of the forest. They want to learn what's out there, and spring is the ideal time weather wise for that. Not too hot, but also not too cold.

3. What sort of feelings does your character have when the sun starts coming back, do they feel hopeful, excited, do they get grumpy because they like the wintertime best?

Energetic and excited! There's so much more to do during spring, and he gets to explore more again. Fly hates being cooped up during the winter and the shorter days of it. While having a bit of time to sleep and read is nice for him, winter just drags on for too long. Seeing everything else spring back to life is also very encouraging and exciting for him, as it helps fend off the dullness of winter.

Β

4. Spring time is a time for new beginnings, what sort of resolutions does your character have entering the new cycle?

His resolution for this year's cycle is to make new friends and push his exploration further. He's fascinated with what potentially lies beyond their cozy little lives, regardless, or maybe because of all the creepy legends involving the world beyond their villages. He also enjoys just casually chatting with people and meeting new faces, so spring is also a great time to form these new social connections. Getting to know people is another form of exploration for him, and helps stave off boredom.
