**Aclara: The Snugzi Who Always Smells Clean**
Aclara was a cheerful, warm, and innocent snugzi. She never understood double meanings and couldn’t see the malice in people who came into her life. As a great writer once said, "the good cannot conceive of evil." However, Aclara learned this lesson in a terrible way. That day, her best friend Owly played a cruel prank on her.
Just as they were getting ready for the Halloween party, Aclara lay down on her bed and dozed off for a few minutes. Owly took advantage of the situation and squeezed the soap dispenser onto Aclara’ head, spilling its contents all over the bedroom floor. This soap was what kept Aclara healthy and active, and when she woke from her nap, she felt completely disoriented and weak. By that time, Owly had hurried off to the party, leaving Aclara alone in her house, sad and confused.
Aclara struggled to gather herself. She felt the sticky residue of soap dripping down her hair and realized that something was wrong. She got up, wiped her eyes, and looked around the room. The once vibrant space now felt empty and echoing with the laughter of the party she was missing. Despite her predicament, a part of her still wanted to believe it was a harmless joke. Maybe Owly would return and they would laugh about it together.
But as the minutes turned into hours, Aclara’ hope faded. She felt abandoned and betrayed. Anger bubbled up inside her, mixing with the sadness. How could Owly do this to her? Just when she thought she could trust someone, they turned against her. Realizing she had to take action, Aclara decided not to let this ruin her night.
She took a deep breath, focusing on the values she held dear. She wouldn’t let this setback define her. Instead, she began to clean up the mess in her room, feeling a sense of determination rise within her. With each squirt of cleaner and every wipe of her cloth, she felt more like herself. The soap that had initially made her feel weak now became a tool for empowerment.
As she cleaned, Aclara’ thoughts shifted. Maybe it was time to confront Owly, but not with anger. She decided she would talk to her friend about how she felt, expressing her hurt rather than retaliating. That was the kind of person she wanted to be—someone who faced challenges with grace.
Once her room was spotless, Aclara took a shower, washing away the remnants of the prank. The warm water rejuvenated her, and she emerged feeling fresh and revitalized. She quickly got dressed in her Halloween costume—a beautiful butterfly that reflected her vibrant spirit.
With her confidence restored, Aclara made her way to the party. She could hear the music and laughter from blocks away, and with each step, she felt lighter. When she arrived, she spotted Owly across the room, laughing with other friends. Taking a moment to gather her thoughts, Aclara approached her with a calm heart.
“Hey, Owly,” Aclara said, her voice steady. “Can we talk?”
Owly turned, her face dropping slightly as she realized the gravity of the situation. “I’m so sorry, Aclara. I didn’t mean to hurt you. It was just a joke.”
“I know,” Aclara replied, “but it really upset me. I felt alone, and I want us to be honest with each other. Can we promise to treat each other better?”
Owly nodded, looking genuinely remorseful. “Of course, I promise.”
The two friends embraced, a wave of relief washing over them. Aclara felt the warmth of forgiveness wrap around her like a cozy blanket.
From that day on, their friendship deepened. They learned to communicate better, ensuring that jokes remained lighthearted and kindness was at the forefront. Aclara, with her radiant spirit, continued to spread joy and cleanliness wherever she went, but now with a wiser heart. She realized that true friendship thrives on honesty and understanding, and that was the most beautiful lesson of all.
(Owly is a pj that doesn't exist, but i will draw her soon ^^)
