Lumibeetle's swarm together in dead tree tops to lay their eggs early spring!
Lumibeetles are somewhat gentle bugs. When they reproduce early spring their abdomens become fuzzy with plush and they gather in swarms on dead trees. This plush holds their eggs that they drop at the base of these trees!
Pompi and Snugzi will gather to view the egg laying event early spring. To ensure the Lumibeetles reproduce safely Snugzi and Pompi may help protect their eggs once the parents leave the trees. This beautiful yearly event brings new life to dead trees and brings all types of species together. Due to the massive swarms, the Lumibeetle fluff makes the tree tops look fluffy! Almost as if they've grown fluffy illuminating leaves.
